Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead a team responsible for operating and maintaining a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium buildings. The role is onsite in Aurora, Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 with on-call as needed.

The ideal candidate has a background in commercial facilities management, with emphasis on mechanical/HVAC skills, and experience managing direct reports, budgeting, and vendor/client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Facility Management certification preferred.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
• Schedule and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and track deadlines.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections for quality assurance and suggest improvements.
• Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing; review quotes for parts, services, and labor.
• Conduct training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
• Lead by example per CBRE RISE values and align with team objectives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
