Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Security Officer to join the Corporate Security team on onsite duty. You will support the chairman, president, and CEO by ensuring policy adherence and delivering executive protection as needed.

Under the Security Supervisor, you will execute the Corporate Security vision and contribute to high-impact initiatives. The role requires weekend/extended hours and strong communications across management levels.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of law enforcement experience.
• Must be licensed to carry an unrestricted concealed weapon in NYC.
• CPR/AED trained preferred.
• Must be able to react quickly to sensitive situations.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills interacting with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

• May work weekends, shift work and extended hours.
• Controls flow of visitors entering the building, ensuring only authorized people enter.
• Provide executive protection, bodyguard or chauffeur duties.
• Write reports and may conduct investigations for thefts, accidents, property damage, harassment, etc.
• Provide security functions including assignment to posts (indoors or outdoors), perimeter patrols, schedules or coordination of car service activities.
• Follows instruction of Security Supervisors and other New York Life staff.
• Perform other duties as required.
