Job summary

FINRA is seeking an Associate Director to lead the enterprise security and life-safety program across multiple facilities. You will oversee executive protection for the CEO and Management Committee, plus high-profile events and incident response.

This role requires strategic leadership, risk mitigation, and 24/7 availability for emergencies. You will manage threat assessment, investigations, vendor performance, and security technology, collaborating with Legal, People Solutions, and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of law enforcement experience with executive protection experience preferred.
• 5+ years of management overseeing a multi-state security program.
• Experience with threat assessment, protective intelligence, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security standards, policies, and procedures for multiple locations.
• Oversee executive protection programs for senior executives and Management Committee.
• Manage security vendor performance, guard forces, and technology.
• Advise leadership on physical security vulnerabilities and incident readiness.
• Ensure 24/7 availability for workplace emergencies and high-impact incidents.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Ten years of law enforcement experience (federal/state/local or corporate)

Five years of management experience overseeing a multi-state security program

HR218 (LEOSA) certification preferred

CPP or EP certification preferred

CPR/First Aid certification preferred
