Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Lombard, IL laboratory to conduct hands-on environmental analyses and ensure data integrity. This full-time, onsite role supports our mission to safeguard health and the environment.

You will operate instruments like GC, HPLC and ICP, analyze air, water and soil samples, and document results with attention to quality and safety in a collaborative laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or a related science field.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and using PPE.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses using GC, HPLC, ICP and other instruments.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret results from sample analyses.
• Document procedures and results accurately to maintain lab records.
• Maintain, calibrate and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
