Pace® Analytical Services in Lombard, IL is hiring a Scientist 1 for our onsite environmental testing lab. You will perform hands-on analysis, operate instruments such as GC, HPLC and ICP, and help ensure the integrity and quality of environmental data that protect communities and ecosystems.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science and the ability to stand for long periods, wear PPE, and work in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in chemistry or related field.
• Ability to perform precise laboratory work and follow procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and wear PPE in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established methods.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
