Pace Analytical Services is hiring for a Scientist 1 in Lombard, IL. This full-time, onsite role involves hands-on analysis in our environmental testing lab, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data that protects communities and ecosystems.

You will operate GC, HPLC, ICP, and related instruments to analyze air, water, and soil samples, document observations, and maintain lab records. A chemistry degree and PPE familiarity are required to join our team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees— or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, working around strong odors, and wearing required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves—all provided by Pace®)

Responsabilidades

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
