Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Lombard, IL laboratory. The role involves hands-on analysis of environmental samples and maintaining quality data under established chemistry methods.

You will work with GC, HPLC, ICP and related instruments, documenting procedures and results while following safety guidelines and PPE requirements. A science degree and lab experience are preferred.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees, or equivalent training/experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods, around odors, and using PPE provided by Pace.

Mansioni

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
