Job summary

Pace® is seeking a Scientist 1 for our Lombard, IL laboratories. This full-time, onsite role supports environmental testing and data integrity across air, water, and soil samples.

The position offers consistent weekday hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with a starting wage of $20.00 per hour. You will conduct hands-on analyses, operate GC, HPLC, and ICP instruments, and document results to support high-quality environmental data used to protect communities and ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science field.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and follow PPE protocols.
• Training provided by Pace®.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on analysis in the environmental testing lab.
• Operate GC, HPLC, ICP and related instruments.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples for contaminants.
• Review and document procedures, observations, and results.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
