Job summary

Clean Harbors in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste and assist with lab packs at customer sites; this is an entry-level management track with 2-week academy training out of state. You will travel to client sites, participating in HHW collections and lab moves as needed, with paid academy during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL Class B with hazmat & tanker endorsement within 6 months.
• Background check, drug test and physical as applicable.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT rules preferred.
• College degree in Chemistry or Natural Science is desired.

Responsibilities

• Handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste to regulatory standards.
• Inspect storage areas, drums, labels and packaging for compliance.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifests and disposal notifications.
• Operate at customer sites and support lab-pack activities.
• Ensure health and safety and follow site specific plans.
