Clean Harbors in Logan, NJ is seeking an Environmental Field Chemist CDL (CleanPack Chemist) to handle, segregate, pack, and inspect chemical waste at customer sites and plants. This entry-level field role operates both indoors and outdoors and supports HHW collections and lab moves, always facing customers on site.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license is required.
• Class A CDL is required and hazmat/tanker endorsement within 60 days of employment.
• Must pass background check, drug test and physical as required by position.
• Comply with OSHA respiratory protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the priority and follow safe work practices.
• Prepare packing lists, labels, manifest, and disposal notifications.
• Inspect staging, storage areas, and drums for leaks and compliance.
• Package waste chemicals for disposal and maximize efficiency.
• Work at customer locations including Fortune 500 companies.
• Ensure projects comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies.
• Operate vehicles in accordance with DOT and local regulations.
• Follow company environmental health and safety guidelines.
