Job summary

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (MSG Entertainment) seeks an experienced Manager, Engineering to oversee maintenance, repair, and capital improvements of kitchen equipment and refrigeration throughout the venue. This role leads a union staff, manages vendors, and ensures safety and compliance during events.

You will build out PM programs, coordinate with departments, and manage budgets for F&B appliances and related systems while supporting capital projects as priorities evolve.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience as a building manager or engineer in a large facility or arena
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings
• Engineering degree is strongly preferred
• FDNY COFs: A35, C92, F01, F03, F60, G60, S12, S13, S14 and FLSD certifications required; CFC Universal Technician Certificate

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and capital improvements of all kitchen equipment and related ancillaries
• Maintain refrigeration systems including beer boxes, walk-in boxes, freezers, Traulsen units, and Perlick packs
• Develop and revamp the preventive maintenance program with asset records and PM schedules
• Manage procurement, scope development, vendor selection, and installation oversight for capital equipment
• Coordinate project work, routine repairs, and emergencies; partner with leadership to align with event calendar
• Manage outside vendors/contractors, scope, pricing, scheduling, and warranty follow-up
• Serve as a key management contact during events for equipment failures
• Direct and support union trades and department staff
• Track equipment condition and repair history to inform repair-vs-replace decisions
• Oversee departmental budgeting for repairs, service contracts, parts, and capital equipment for F&B appliances
• Ensure health, sanitation, fire, and life safety compliance for equipment; manage FDNY rangehood inspections
• Assist Engineering and Building Operations on ancillary projects
