Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Safety Manager – Energy to lead the safety program on major projects in Gary, IN area.

The role focuses on developing the Site Safety Plan, driving an Incident and Injury Free Culture, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the project team and subcontractors. The ideal candidate is OSHA 30 certified with construction safety experience, strong knowledge of NFPA/ANSI standards, and excellent communication skills to influence safe work behaviours.

Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience that would qualify for the role.
• OSHA 30 Construction required; CPR/FA Certified (Trainer Preferred), along with other safety certifications desired.
• Must obtain BCSP CHST certification or higher within 12 months.
• Three to five years of construction safety experience (electrical safety experience preferred).
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain an Incident and Injury Free Culture (IIFC) by creating a Project Safety Roadmap and Site Safety Plan.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations on projects.
• Generate weekly Total Case Incident Reports and submit to project leadership.
• Lead incident and injury investigations with support from Production leadership.
• Monitor and audit CEI/Subcontractor safety compliance and assist weekly toolbox safety meetings.
