Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking an Onsite Energy Generation Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of on-site power projects across the AMER region. This role is hybrid, with work at multiple US cities and international sites, and collaborates closely with DE&C teams.

You will oversee design, construction, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and program governance, reporting progress, risks, and financials to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management of energy generation or large-scale infra projects.
• Develop integrated schedules, risk logs, action-item logs and budget tracking.
• Experience overseeing natural gas-fired and fuel cell systems; nuclear/advanced energy is a plus.
• Familiarity with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Strong understanding of utility regulations and PSCAD modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of on-site energy generation projects from design through commissioning.
• Manage external consultants, owner’s engineers, and owner’s representatives.
• Support technology selection, vendor evaluation, and risk assessments for generation technologies.
• Provide feedback into governance, standards, performance metrics, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design, engineering, and construction teams to execute projects.
• Foster relationships with EPC providers and technical consultants.
• Negotiate major equipment, EPC, and long-lead agreements with energy teams.
• Coordinate with environmental, permitting, and regulatory teams for compliance.
• Drive cross-functional alignment with Operations for long-term asset performance.
• Provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and financials.
