Job summary

Digital Realty seeks an Onsite Energy Generation Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of onsite power generation projects across the AMER region from design through commissioning.

In this hybrid role, you will coordinate with DE&C teams, EPC providers, and vendors, oversee external consultants, manage risk and budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance while enabling long-term asset performance. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in energy generation project management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, energy systems, construction management or related field.
• Experience overseeing natural gas-fired generation and fuel cell systems.
• Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PSCAD modeling.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to site projects.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of on-site energy generation projects from design to handoff.
• Manage external consultants and owner’s engineers throughout the project.
• Support technology selection, vendor evaluation, and risk assessments for gas and other generation tech.
• Provide feedback into governance, standards, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and real estate teams to execute projects.
• Report progress, risks, and financials to executives.
