Job summary

APSI Construction Management in Huntington, WV, is seeking a Construction Field Project Manager/Inspector to provide full-time onsite construction management for the Huntington Federal Building Elevator Modernization project for GSA.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least five years of construction field experience, with strong scheduling, QA, and coordination with contractors, A/E, and client.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum five years of construction field experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of elevator modernization standards and codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review phasing plans and contractor CPM schedules.
• Verify procurement and submittal schedules for long-lead elevator components.
• Perform frequent onsite inspections and monitor progress against the schedule.
• Coordinate with GSA, building management, tenants, and A/E on construction activities.
• Review RFIs, contract mods, and provide technical guidance to the GSA Project Manager.
• Prepare weekly progress reports and closeout documentation.
