Job summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a knowledgeable engineer to maintain and improve the Dave Johnston Power Plant assets. This role includes leading electrical system design, installation, and commissioning, with career growth across multiple levels based on education and experience.

We emphasize collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and on-site leadership for capital and O&M projects. This position is fully onsite in Glenrock, WY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• ≥5 years in industrial power or electric utility power systems or related experience.
• Project management and leadership skills including teamwork, timelines, budgets, and commitments.
• Understanding of company policies, procedures, and practices; knowledge of NEC/National Electric Codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems including DCS, MV switchgear, DC battery backup, transformers, generator excitation, and 480V distribution.
• Plan, design, license, construct, operate, and maintain the company’s generation facility.
• Oversee equipment testing, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with and mentor engineers and CETs.
• Manage projects and budgets for capital and O&M; handle outages and day-to-day work.
• Rotational on-call support.
