Job summary

PacifiCorp in Glenrock, Wyoming, is seeking a Control and Electrical Technician to repair and maintain plant instrumentation and control systems. You will interpret wiring diagrams and specifications, train apprentices, and work rotating 12-hour shifts on-site.

The role requires journeyman experience, high school education, and knowledge of turbine control computers and plant monitoring systems. Candidates must be able to test, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and controls.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Must pass a written test demonstrating journeyman level knowledge.
• Demonstrated courses in mathematics, electrical theory, electronics.
• Knowledge of plant control systems such as turbine control computer, plant computer monitoring systems.
• Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts.
• Ability to test, repair and calibrate plant instruments and controls.
• Knowledge of computer software.
• Ability to instruct and train apprentices in maintenance of plant instrumentation and control systems.

Responsibilities

• A CET repairs plant instrumentation and control systems under supervision.
• CETs install, modify, adjust, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical power and control equipment.
• CETs interpret drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams; may direct trainees and helpers.
