Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Sedalia, MO is seeking an EHS Manager to drive the rollout of our EHS Management System at the Sedalia Manufacturing & Distribution Center. You will oversee environmental, health, and safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with site leadership to build a culture of Safety-Always and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience implementing EHS culture in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Broad knowledge of 29 CFR 1910 standards and applicable environmental requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills across all levels.
• Experience with EHS data management systems preferred.
• Certified in first aid, CPR, and AED; OSHA-30 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Champion and communicate a clear EHS vision and Safety-Always culture.
• Implement and maintain the SBD EHS Management System and ISO 45001 alignment.
• Lead, coach, and mentor EHS teams and cross-functional teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risk with a risk register and corrective actions.
• Manage environmental permits (stormwater, wastewater, Title V) and compliance.
• Provide EHS training to meet permits and programs.
• Develop programs to improve workplace health (ergonomics, safe behaviors).
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and EHS data; oversee audits and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance on EHS considerations.
• Drive continuous improvement through change management.
