Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker seeks an Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager for our Decorah, IA site. This onsite role collaborates with leadership to design and implement EH&S programs, conducts accident investigations, and maintains hazardous waste records, ensuring EPA and OSHA compliance across the plant.

You will train staff and coordinate audits while serving as a technical EH&S resource to management. The position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in EH&S.
• Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA rules and regulations.
• ISO14001 knowledge.
• Excellent communication; proficient MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with management in creation and implementation of EH&S programs and activities.
• Perform accident investigations to reduce liability and develop preventive programs.
• Maintain EPA hazardous waste records and coordinate related compliance activities.
• Coordinate wastewater and air emissions sampling and field activities as needed.
• Ensure plant compliance with EH&S laws and regulations and train employees.
• Organize and facilitate EH&S audits and act as technical consultant on EH&S issues.
• Be the main contact between the plant and Corporate EH&S team during inspections and permit discussions.
