Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in the San Fran Bay Area, California, to advise Fortune 500 clients onsite, conduct risk assessments, and help implement robust safety programs. You will engage across regulatory frameworks, drive improvements, and support diverse industries.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in EHS, strong communication, and willingness to travel up to 40 hours/week within Northern California.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science degree.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.

Responsibilities

Help develop and implement innovative safety programs for diverse clients, including audits, assessments, and hazard controls.
Perform building hazardous materials inspections and hazardous/biohazardous waste inspections.
Conduct audits, onsite compliance inspections, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across deliverables.
