Job summary

ERM seeks a Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety, EHS for the San Francisco Bay Area region (San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Clara, Walnut Creek, etc.). The role focuses on leading onsite EHS programs, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, and the development of best-in-class safety initiatives for diverse clients.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety or related fields, 2+ years of experience, travel up to 40 hours/week, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.
• Willingness to travel to client sites up to 40 hours/week in Northern California Bay Area.
• Driver's license required for travel across client locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing onsite support and guidance.
• Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance.
• Help develop and implement EHS programs in areas like Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, and Process Safety.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality EHS solutions.
