Job summary

ERM is seeking an experienced Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. You will serve Fortune 500 clients onsite, performing risk assessments, inspections, and guiding the implementation of robust EHS programs.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a relevant degree, and the ability to travel up to 40 hours/week within Northern California. A strong client‑facing skillset and compliance knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science degree.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client‑focused.
Willingness to travel to client sites in Northern California (Bay Area) up to ~40 hours/week.
Driver’s License required (ability to operate a company vehicle).

Responsibilities

Lead safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure regulatory compliance.
Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs (Hazard Communication, IEP, Chemical Management, Process Safety).
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
Build strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality EHS solutions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
