Job summary

ERM is hiring an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Consultant to support our technology client onsite in San Francisco, CA. This full-time, limited-term role runs 6 months with potential extension and a 35-hour workweek.

The candidate will develop and implement OSHA requirements, SOPs, Health and Safety Plans, risk assessments, and safety programs. Experience with waste management, reports, and ISO standards is desirable.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years EHS support experience with emphasis on health and safety.
• Certification or progress toward CSP/ASP is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/18001/45001 is preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform compliance and system audits to assess project adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Provide training, field coaching, and EHS assessments to improve safety performance.
• Identify corrective actions to close audit findings.
• Develop EHS procedures, plans, permits, and reports.
• Manage tasks within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality.
• Build client relationships and support repeat business.
• Collaborate with ERM Partners and Project Managers to deliver projects.
