Job summary

Optum is seeking an Onsite EAP Counselor to provide onsite behavioral health services to our clients. This part-time role (20 hours per week) offers flexible shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am CT) and eligibility for benefits.

The position requires a Masters/ Doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline, an active license, and 3+ years of experience. Onsite work with strong collaboration across HR and management is essential.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in behavioral health is required.
• Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level is required.
• 3+ years in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to work onsite is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solution focused consultations with clients.
• Assess and refer to appropriate programs and services.
• Assist with referrals for ongoing counseling services.
• Provide limited aftercare monitoring and follow up.
• Offer manager consultation on work-related issues and organizational change.
• Provide crisis intervention and management support for critical incidents.
• Conduct on-site training for managers and employees (health wellness events).
• Document interactions in the clinical case management system.
