Job summary

OptumCare is seeking an Onsite EAP Counselor to join our team in Hackensack, NJ. This per diem, hourly role provides onsite employee assistance services, including assessment, referral, training and crisis support.

You will work two 4-hour shifts weekly (Tue 7:00-11:00, Thu 3:00-7:00 CT) and collaborate with HR and managers to address workplace issues. Required: Masters or Doctoral degree in behavioral health, active independent license, and 3+ years of experience in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline.
• Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level.
• 3+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to work onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solution focused consultations with clients to define goals and plan actions.
• Assess and refer to appropriate programs including Work-life, behavioral health, substance abuse and community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention and management support for Critical Incidents.
• Provide on-site trainings for managers and employees (wellness seminars, Health fairs).
