Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Onsite EAP Counselor for a part-time role at 20 hours per week. The position offers eligibility for benefits and flexible scheduling (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am CT).

Primary responsibilities include conducting solution-focused consultations, assessing and referring to appropriate programs, and providing crisis intervention and manager consultations. 3+ years in behavioral health and an active license are required.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline.
• Current, unrestricted license at the independent practice level.
• 3+ years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Ability to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct solution focused consultations; help clients define goals and action plans.
• Assess and refer to appropriate programs and services (behavioral health, worklife, etc.).
• Assist with referrals for ongoing counseling services and follow-up.
• Provide manager consultation on work-related issues and crisis intervention.
• Deliver on-site trainings for managers and employees (wellness seminars, etc.).
• Document member contact/case information accurately in the clinical system.
