Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Major Incident Response Technician to support the Major Incident Response Cyber Support Center in a DoD environment. The role involves full lifecycle incident management with onsite duties at Joint Base Andrews in Camp Springs, MD, and ad-hoc telework.

You will identify, triage, and coordinate rapid responses, maintain status updates for leadership, and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. On-site swing shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Tue-Sat.

Qualifications

• Experience in a DoD environment is required.
• Strong incident response and triage capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and classify major IT incidents using AFNCR data and monitoring tools.
• Coordinate triage and response with internal and external resolution teams.
• Facilitate troubleshooting conference bridges and maintain stakeholder updates.
• Lead investigation and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Provide user support for email, directories, Windows apps, and contract apps.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software PC and printer problems on-site.
