Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions in Fontana, CA is seeking a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks in the field. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with independence and a safety-first mindset.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, knowledge of CNG systems a plus, and strong communication with drivers. Tools provided on site; you'll work outdoors in various conditions and use mobile apps for documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel tech on Class 6-8 trucks
• CNG engine systems knowledge a plus
• DOT inspections and air brake repair expertise
• Strong customer communication with drivers
• Own hand tools required
• Must be 23+ with clean driving record and valid license

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems
• Use handheld computers and precision instruments to diagnose issues
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs meet quality standards
• Document repairs using mobile apps and digital tools
• Collaborate with team and assist others as needed
