Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions seeks a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks in a field-based role. You will work with a supportive team to keep fleets road-ready and minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of hands-on diesel experience, familiarity with CNG systems a plus, and strong customer communication skills. Tools provided; bring your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience with Class 6-8 trucks.
• Experience with DOT inspections and air brake repair is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for customer and driver interaction.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation and digital tools to stay organized.
• Bring own hand tools; company supplies remaining equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic tools including handheld computers to identify issues.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs meet quality standards.
• Meet or beat industry-standard repair times.
• Collaborate with team to support operations.
