Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is hiring a Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks at customer sites in California. This field-based role offers independence, a competitive wage, and opportunities to use advanced diagnostic tools while maintaining fleets on the road.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks in field environment.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld computers and precision instruments to identify and fix issues quickly.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet top-quality standards.
