Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers on-site. You’ll work in a field-based role with a company truck, tools, and support, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.

You’ll need 3+ years of diesel experience, DOT and air-brake repair expertise, strong communication skills, and a safety-first mindset. Valid license required; bring your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks/trailers.
• DOT inspection & air brake repair expertise.
• Strong communication with customers/drivers.
• Comfortable with mobile apps and digital tools for repairs.
• Outdoor work in all weather at customer yards.
• Independent, dependable and self-motivated.
• Safety-first mindset in all tasks.
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and valid license.
• Bring your own hand tools; company provides rest of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks/trailers.
• Respond to emergency road service calls with urgency.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use handheld devices and diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet standards.
• Source parts with vendors and maintain operations flow.
• Pre- and post-trip inspections on company service trucks.
• Maintain safety compliance and high productivity.
