Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers on-site. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a field-based role with a company service truck and modern tools.

The position offers weekly pay, company-paid fuel card, cell phone allowance, 401(k) with match, and health benefits after 30 days, plus paid vacation, sick time, and holidays. Must be 23+ with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Excellent communication with customers and drivers.
• Able to use mobile apps and digital tools to document repairs.
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather.
• Own hand tools; company provides everything else.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast.
• Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.
• Road test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top-quality standards.
• Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance.
