Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking an onsite Desktop Technician in Charlotte, NC to provide end-user support and day-to-day desktop troubleshooting. The role involves resolving hardware/software issues, documenting steps, and ensuring consistent service across shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of Windows desktop support experience, familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. W2, onsite only, benefits available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• CompTIA A+ and MCP certifications.
• 1+ years of IT experience in desktop support.
• Knowledge of Windows 7–10, Active Directory, GPOs, Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
• Work with third party vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows OS and Office applications.
• Support and troubleshoot printers, hardware and peripherals.
• Perform general preventative maintenance on computers and printers.
• Document steps and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Mentor and assist technicians in their work.
