Job summary

Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Level II Desktop Technician to provide onsite support in Florence, KY.

The role involves diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues, repairing devices, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems for internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree or equivalent IT experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting SLA requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Knowledge of assigned area is required.
• Desktop and/or Infrastructure support experience.
• Account Specific Training or Certification.
• Technical writing competency.
• Coding/programming competency.
• Cloud & SaaS services competency.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Clear written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose hardware, software and systems failures using established procedures.
• Install and repair computer products including hardware, MFD printers, PCs, laptops, printers, cell phones, tablets, servers, and wired/wireless networking.
• Manage user accounts and permissions; reset passwords as needed.
• Keep notes and tickets updated in the system to track issues.
• Communicate with customers at all levels of technical proficiency.
• Provide status updates per SLA and follow SOPs.
• Escalate complex issues to higher support groups as needed.
• Collaborate across the organization to resolve problems.
