Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Technician for a contract role based in Evansville, IN. You will be the primary contact for end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues, and maintaining desktop systems and peripherals.

Responsibilities include deploying devices, supporting upgrades, documenting incidents, and collaborating with IT teams to resolve escalations.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop or end-user support in a professional setting.
• Strong troubleshooting across hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Knowledge of desktop computing environments and common business apps.
• Able to document issues and resolutions clearly in tickets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for end users via phone, email, remote, or in person.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Support OS/software upgrades and installations.
• Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting and escalate as needed.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Track equipment inventory and assist with asset management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues.
