Job summary

TEKsystems in Frankfort, KY is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite end-user support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include installing and configuring hardware and software, performing repairs, managing incidents in a ticketing system, assisting with workstation imaging and deployments, and offering remote and on-site support to keep users

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with desktop hardware, software installation, configuration, and support.
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience using an IT ticketing or service management platform.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and end-user issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite desktop support for end users.
• Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computer hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, operating system, and application-related issues.
• Perform hardware repairs and component replacements as needed.
• Document, track, and manage incidents through a ticketing system.
• Support user account administration and basic system access requests.
• Assist with workstation imaging, deployments, and upgrades.
• Provide technical assistance via in-person, phone, and remote support channels.
• Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
