Job summary
TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to deliver onsite and remote support to end users in Flemingsburg, KY. The role involves troubleshooting hardware/software issues, assisting with deployments and imaging, and maintaining strong customer service.
The position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift/transport equipment, with a contract arrangement and a pay range of $19.00–$23.00 per hour.
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of desktop support or help desk experience.
- Experience with modern desktop operating systems in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of hardware installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Experience with ticketing systems and service management processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop and laptop systems.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
- Support device deployments, upgrades, migrations, and imaging.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and basic network issues.
- Assist users via phone, email, ticketing systems, and in-person support.
- Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions.
