Job summary

EIS Groups in Maryland is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology team for onsite work. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues while maintaining a secure IT environment and delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree in IT or Computer Science, a Bachelor's degree preferred, and proven experience in desktop support, with familiarity in TeamViewer or similar tools to provide

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar IT position.
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining computers and related equipment.
• Familiarity with TeamViewer or comparable remote-support platforms.
• Ability to provide onsite and remote technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on onsite technical support to EIS Groups employees.
• Receive, document, prioritize, and resolve hardware and software support requests.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, network, and connectivity issues.
• Configure and deploy new computers, routers, modems, peripherals, and other IT equipment.
• Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of IT equipment and installations.
• Provide onsite and remote technical assistance when required.
• Assist employees with software, hardware, account-access, and connectivity issues.
