Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a hands-on IT support professional for a 6-month onsite role in New Haven, CT. The ideal candidate will support Windows and Mac environments, manage O365 workflows, and maintain desktop computing services for a department.

A Bachelor's degree in IT is required, with extensive related experience in hardware support and AD administration. Responsibilities include configuring and repairing devices, implementing group policies, training users, and coordinating with vendors for

Qualifications

• Hands-on hardware support experience required.
• Experience supporting Windows and Mac environments.
• Experience with Office 365 (O365) essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a department’s desktop computing environment.
• Create and maintain Active Directory units and group policies.
• Maintain software inventory and ensure up-to-date versions.
• Track hardware and peripherals, advise on replacements.
• Install/coordinate repair of computing devices and network peripherals.
• Respond to calls for email, scheduling, and backup systems issues.
• Train users in desktop equipment usage.
• Collaborate to integrate network and software products.
• Analyze and implement department computing solutions.
• Train other support technicians and document projects.
• Complete and document hardware/software testing.
