Job summary

CEI is seeking a Desktop Support professional to join our on-site team in Columbia, SC. The role focuses on configuring, deploying, and maintaining end-user workstations within a fast-paced enterprise environment.

You will handle ticket resolution, workstation deployments, data protection practices, and secure configuration standards to keep end users productive. The position requires 2+ years in technical operations support and an A+ certification, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field OR 2 years of related work experience.
2+ years of technical operations or workstation/desktop support experience.
Proficiency with Windows workstations and common productivity tools.
Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
A+ Certification preferred; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Monitor and update the dispatch/ticketing queue and work tickets to resolution.
Troubleshoot workstation hardware/software issues and provide on-the-spot user training.
Configure, install, monitor, and maintain workstation software and hardware.
Perform workstation builds, deployments, software installs, and data backup activities.
Test, troubleshoot, and document application packages and configurations.
Document configurations and standards to support faster resolution.
Assist with reporting, replacement parts ordering, and inventory/status tracking.
