Job summary

Computacenter is seeking an Onsite Desktop Support Engineer in Plymouth on a full-time basis. The role provides hands-on IT support across a busy environment, resolving incidents, handling service requests, and ensuring users receive high-quality assistance.

The candidate will handle 2nd line incidents to SLA, install and configure hardware/software, and liaise with Level 3 teams. A UK driving license is required, SC clearance may be needed, and the position is onsite in Plymouth.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 in a corporate environment.
• Strong incident handling and SLA adherence skills.
• Familiarity with ITSM tooling, especially ServiceNow.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• UK driving license is required; SC Clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA
• Maintain a <2% monthly incident target
• Complete assigned tasks within timeframes
• Undertake project tasks with internal/external PMs
• Handle non-standard requests within agreed timescales
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues
• Resolve technical issues for laptop/desktop hardware, networks, printers
• Install and configure software and hardware
