Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. You will resolve incidents, fulfill service requests, and ensure users receive a high-quality support experience.

The role is onsite at Chelmsford, with responsibilities spanning incident handling, 2nd line support, and project tasks. The ideal candidate will know Windows OS (10/11), Office, and ITSM processes, with familiarity in SCCM, Active Directory, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Office suite, and registry settings.
• Experience with LTSC channels and KIOSK is desirable.
• Familiarity with IT service models and ITSM tools.
• Networking basics incl. LAN/WAN/VLAN, DHCP, DNS/WINS, VPN.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents and requests, resolve to SLA targets.
• Provide 2nd line support and coordinate with Level 3 teams.
• Complete tasks within allocated timeframes and contribute to projects.
• Install and configure software and hardware for users.
• Ensure high-quality user support and communication.
