Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on IT support in a busy customer environment from our Lincoln onsite location. You will handle incidents, service requests and ensure high-quality user experiences.

The role requires strong Windows OS knowledge, AD, SCCM, and networking understanding, with ITSM experience (ServiceNow) and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows OS deployment and configuration.
• Familiarity with LTSC and KIOSK is desirable.
• Basic understanding of AD and SCCM.
• Networking knowledge incl. DHCP/DNS/WAN/Wi‑Fi.
• ITSM tools experience, preferably ServiceNow.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks.
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA.
• Maintain a <2% incident per month target.
• Complete assigned works within allocated timeframes.
• Undertake Project Tasks with internal/external PMs.
• Handle Non-Standard Requests to agreed timescales.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.
• Resolve laptop/desktop, network, printer issues.
• Install & configure software and hardware.
