Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to deliver hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. You will resolve incidents, fulfill service requests, and ensure users receive a responsive, high-quality support experience.

Key responsibilities include 2nd line incident resolution to SLA, completing tasks within timeframes, and supporting project work. Requires Windows expertise, ITSM tooling, networking knowledge, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows 10/11, registry settings and Office applications.
• Strong networking fundamentals incl. LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, DHCP and DNS.
• Experience with IT service management tooling (ServiceNow) and user support processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle incidents and service requests to SLA targets.
• Provide 2nd line support and coordinate with Level 3 teams.
• Install and configure software/hardware on laptops and desktops.
• Assist with internal/external project tasks and non‑standard requests.
• Communicate proactively to raise major issues with stakeholders.
