Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support across a busy customer environment. You will resolve incidents, fulfil service requests and ensure a responsive, high-quality support experience.

Based in Glasgow on site, you will handle 2nd line incidents to SLA, support projects, and work with Level 3 teams to resolve complex hardware and software issues, including laptops and printers, plus network services.

Qualifications

• Windows 10/11 configuration and registry familiarity.
• MS Office proficiency.
• LTSC Channels and KIOSK experience desirable.
• SCCM/Active Directory and ITSM basics.
• LAN/WAN/VLAN, Wi‑Fi, DHCP, DNS, VPN knowledge.
• Exchange/Outlook familiarity.
• ServiceNow ITSM familiarity.
• Strong customer service and communication.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• SC clearance or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Undertake incident and request tasks.
• 2nd line responsibility for resolving incidents to SLA.
• Maintain <2% incident per month target.
• Complete assigned works within allocated timeframes.
• Support Project Managers on project tasks.
• Handle Non-Standard Requests within agreed timescales.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams for major issues.
• Resolve issues with laptops, desktops, networks, printers, etc.
• Install and configure software and hardware.
