Job summary

CompucomStaffing is seeking a Deskside Support Technician to join onsite in New York, NY. The role centers on owning the user's IT experience, from deskside support to event tech, with responsibility for devices and onboarding processes.

The ideal candidate works independently, manages tickets in Jira, and provides high-touch support for leaders and VIPs. Travel within NYC and occasional remote coordination may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of IT support, desktop support, or end-user computing experience.
• Experience as a sole or primary onsite IT resource.
• Strong troubleshooting with macOS and enterprise end-user tech (MDM, identity tools, collaboration apps).
• Experience onboarding/offboarding and asset management; travel within NYC.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on deskside and walk-up support for macOS, accounts, SaaS apps, network, printing, and peripherals.
• Own Jira tickets from first touch through resolution; escalate to remote teams as needed.
• Deliver high-touch support for local leaders and VIPs when required.
• Manage onboarding/offboarding: device provisioning, recovery, wipe, redeploy; inventory control.
• Set up meeting rooms and support hybrid events; travel within NYC for offsite work.
• Act as primary IT point of contact for workplace, facilities, and local leadership.
