Job summary

Slipstream IT, LLC is seeking an Onsite Deskside Engineer to provide dependable Tier 1 IT support in a fast-paced Durham office. This 100% on-site role focuses on deskside assistance, hardware/software troubleshooting, and white-glove support for leadership and staff.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years in a corporate service desk role, an IT-related associate degree or equivalent, and strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, and basic networking.

Qualifications

2+ years of Tier 1 deskside or service desk support in a corporate environment.
Associate degree or equivalent in IT or related field.
Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams and Outlook; basic networking.
Ability to document incidents and work with ticketing/ITSM systems.
Comfort with providing professional, in-person support to executives and staff.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site Tier 1 IT support for employees (walk-up, deskside, chats, calls).
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printers, and Microsoft 365 issues; escalate when needed.
Provide white-glove support for leadership and visiting employees.
Perform conference room and AV troubleshooting (Teams Rooms, displays, cameras, mics, room checks).
Document incidents, service requests, and asset updates in the ITSM system.
Assist with onboarding/offboarding, workstation setup, and asset tracking.
Maintain adherence to SLAs, SOPs, security requirements, and escalation paths.
