Job summary

Slipstream Life Sciences is seeking an Onsite Deskside Engineer to provide dependable, customer-focused Tier 1 IT support on-site in Durham. The role covers deskside assistance, hardware/software troubleshooting, and onboarding/offboarding tasks for leadership and staff.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a corporate deskside role, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook. This is a 100% on-site position Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Information Technology or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of Tier 1 deskside/help desk/service desk support in a corporate environment.
Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, printers, docking stations, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-site Tier 1 IT support resource for employees, including walk-up support and deskside assistance.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printers, and MS 365 issues; escalate complex items.
Provide white-glove support for leadership and visiting employees.
