Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Deskside Engineer to deliver onsite and remote end-user support in Montpelier, VT. You will troubleshoot Windows and macOS, manage AD accounts, and oversee Intune/SCCM; skill with Citrix/AVD and ticketing tools will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in IT.
• 6–8 years in Desktop/Deskside support or End User Computing.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities for complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise tools.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and network issues with minimal disruption.
• Support Windows 10/11, macOS, AD accounts, and endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM).
• Manage virtual desktops (Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop) for seamless access.
• Install and maintain printers, peripherals, and conferencing equipment.
• Track incidents via ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira and meet SLA targets.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and networking teams to improve services.
