Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Engineer to provide onsite end-user computing and field services support in a fast-paced enterprise environment in San Diego, CA. The role demands strong troubleshooting and customer service, supporting Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.

The position requires a 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM local time shift, five days per week. Salary ranges from $63,000 to $72,000 annually, with eligibility for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Deskside Support or End User Computing.
• Strong experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 troubleshooting and administration.
• Hands-on IMACD activities and asset lifecycle management.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
• Knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting macOS devices.
• Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem, request, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite deskside and field support for laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and OS issues with minimal disruption.
• Support Windows and macOS environments ensuring enterprise standards and security.
• Deliver high-quality customer service while handling multiple requests.
• Perform IMACD activities and manage device deployments and lifecycle.
• Coordinate onboarding, hardware refreshes, and offboarding support.
• Provide white-glove executive end-user support and rapid issue resolution.
• Assist with collaboration tools and meeting setup for critical business events.
